Discontinues support for InDesign 2023. While we’ll no longer fix problems in or add features to discontinued versions, we will otherwise provide normal support indefinitely. Download links for final-version installers for older versions of InDesign that we no longer support can be found on Xtags’s installer page.

Fixes a problem where InDesign reports “The file could not be opened. You may not have permission…” when importing a resource that was auto-downloaded from a long URL. Now, the plug-in reports “Download path too long” when a URL generates a download path that’s too long for InDesign to handle. To correct this error, use shortened URLs, move the document folder closer to the volume’s root, disable “Prevent naming collisions” in the plug-in’s settings, or, if links aren’t required for downloaded resources, disable Create links for auto-downloaded pictures in the plug-in’s settings.

Includes internal changes that should improve the
ftag’s font selections when working with irregular or similarly-named families like Helvetica, Avenir and Univers. For example,<f"Helvetica LT Std">on macOS now actually applies “Helvetica LT Std” instead of applying “Helvetica”. Likewise,<f"Univers">now actually applies “Univers” instead of applying “Univers-Medium”.
