This release mainly addresses an incompatibility with Adobe’s InDesign 2026 21.1 release.

WordsFlow 3.18 for InDesign 2026 requires InDesign 2026 version 21.1 (or later) and will not work with InDesign 2026’s 21.0, 21.0.1 or 21.0.2 releases. If you install this update, you may need to update your InDesign 2026 application (both Windows and macOS).

To update, download and install the latest version from the product’s installation section.
Changes
- Works around an incompatibility introduced in Adobe’s InDesign 2026 21.1 release that can cause the application to shut down when a document is placed, a story is exported to Word, or a WordsFlow-linked story is updated, relinked, deleted or unlinked.
- Adds support for Word files saved as DOCX Strict (also called Strict Open XML, as described in ISO/IEC 29500-1:2016).
