Release: InCatalog 2.35.6 for InDesign 2024-2026

This release enhances the InCatalog menu and fixes issues with DD name validation and data extraction.

Update

To update, download and install the latest version from the product’s installation section.

Changes

  • Shows the selected data source in the Update Document… menu item, and the selected data destination in the Create Data… and Update Data… menu items, so the currently-selected data connections are always knowable at a glance.

  • Fixes a problem introduced in the previous release that prevents a data link from working if the selected DD’s filename isn’t exactly the same as the DD name used to create the link. This change restores our DD validation policy introduced in the 2.8 release which considers DD filenames with a “.txt” or “.dd” extension equivalent to the same DD name with no file extension (“mydd.txt” and “mydd” are the same, for example).

  • Fixes a data extraction problem introduced in the 2.35.4 release that can prevent Create Data and Update Data from outputting all of the text within a data link marked as tagged text.
