Changes
-
Introduces a Preserve font settings when importing from Excel setting to InData’s General preferences panel and a Preserve font settings option to the Excel Workbook Options import options dialog to provide direct control over whether cell-level font formatting is ignored (the default), where, like Import from Text File, only the cell’s value is imported, or preserved, by infusing the imported values with formatting codes, during an import. Previously, InData always automatically preserved font settings that differed from the applied cell’s style.

-
Preserves all font settings (font, style, size, effects and, when Adobe InDesign tags is selected, color) during an Excel Workbook import, to better match the results of placing an Excel Worksheet with InDesign. Previously, only what was different from the cell’s applied style was kept.
-
Adds support for Adobe InDesign tags when preserving a cell’s font during an Excel Workbook import. Now, the General preference’s Styled text contains selection determines which flavor of tagged text the imported Excel data is infused with. Previously, InData only infused imported values with XPress Tags formatting codes.
-
Adds a
preservingFontsparameter (boolean) to theimportDataFromWorksheetscripting method to override the default value found in the document’s General preferences. -
Includes a new HiDPI/Retina About dialog logo.
