Release: InCatalog 2.21 for InDesign CS5–CC2018
This release adds support for default field values and addresses a few minor issues.
Changes
- Adds a new Default Field Value qualifier,
[_"..."], that allows the specification of a field’s default value in the event of an empty field. For text, the qualifier’s value is unquoted tagged text which is inserted in place of the empty data. For pictures, the value is the path of an alternative image to be loaded or a hyphen (_"-") to specify that the picture frame should be cleared. Note that no error is logged when a field’s data is empty. - Normalizes all forms of dashes (en, em, etc.) in key-from-contents links by substituting the dash’s position in the key field with a regular hyphen.
- Fixes an odbc issue where an update with a key field containing special characters could produce an sql syntax error. Quotes are now automatically applied to key values containing non-alphanumeric characters.
- Fixes a bug introduced way back in the 6/7.2.8.1 release that could cause a garbage value to be used instead of the Default Key Value specified in the DD file (with
[?"..."]).
