Release: WordsFlow 1.2.2 for InDesign CS5/CS5.5/CS6/CC

December 31, 2013 by

This patch release improves the quality and general stability of updating.

Changes

  • Improves how table conflicts are handled during updates, where a table row or column that’s been deleted on one side of the link is now retained (or resurrected) if the text content of any of its constituent cells has been changed on the other. The resulting “zombie” row/column will contain conflict markers to indicate the edited cells.

For example, if an InDesign user edits the text in a cell in the bottom row and then updates the linked story with a version of a Word document where that bottom row as has been deleted, DocsFlow will now retain the deleted row and add a conflict marker to the edited cell. At that point, the InDesign user can resolve the conflict (decide whether the row should be kept or deleted) and continue working.

  • Fixes a problem where merge conflicts could cause an update to fail.
