This patch fixes problems with URLs, Apple silicon machines, and master page applications.

https://t.co/84V0abbl4S, to fail. Redirected and moved URLs are now followed. -
Fixes a problem that was causing puts of tagged text to show up as garbage characters on Apple silicon machines.
